Diamond FX tilbyder neonfarver i bl.a. orange, pink, magenta, gul, grøn, blå, violet og hvid.

Vores anbefaling

Diamond FX Neon (or UV) Paints Safety
Sep 27, 2021

For those concerned about the safety of these products due to the labelling, we have the following statement from Diamond FX:

UV regular Colours or Neon-UV colours are available in limited range of colours which are: Orange, Pink, Magenta, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet and White. With these "Day Glow" Colours, the dye is embedded in a resin and has no direct contact with the skin.

Regular Neon colours have never been officially approved for cosmetic purposes only so called phosphorescent colour pigment is used.

This paint contains a low percentage of Free Formaldehyde. (Under the approved percentage)

In 2000 it was approved by the FDA for use as a cosmetic item. USA is the only country in the world where such an item may be distributed labelled as 'for cosmetic purposes'.

Diamond FX had to be certain this colour additive was free of any hazardous materials. Supplier data sheet and independent laboratories confirmed this.

Diamond FX Aqua Colour was given to a dermatologist, to verify skin tolerance and to make sure, that the product would not harm when brought into contact with sensitive skin. The conclusion was that DFX Neon colours are harmless to human skin. The statement 'not a cosmetic item, not intended for cosmetic applications is applied to our products for legal reasons only.

But, since we were not 100% happy, we wanted to bring to our customers a product that they feel 100% secure and therefore we have since a few years produced 3 colors that are 100% FDA approved.

The special FDA NEON White, FDA NEON Blue and FDA NEON Violet.

This paint does not contain Formaldehyde.

These are special FDA approved colours that are full approved, for cosmetic purposes, may be used on every skin, only have a slight lesser 'blacklight or dayglow' effect.

The Special FDA NEON White can be used to transform every Essential colour into a dayglow colour, use a little more water, and brush it over as an effect paint.

Fusion Body Art
"These paints were developed to glow under a black light but also to have a day glow effect under natural light. Although the pigments used on this range have been widely used in the face and body art industry for over 20 years, the FDA and EU Commission has not yet approved them for cosmetic use, hence their designation as special effects products. Keep in mind that this only means that the FDA and EU have not considered these pigments risky enough to spend their time looking into them, just like it happens with henna and regular tattoo inks. It does not mean they have been banned or determined unsafe by the FDA or the EU. In fact, these neon /uv face paints have been tested by independent laboratories and have been determined safe to be used on the skin. Still, because of FDA and EU regulations we are forced to label them as a special effects product. In Australia, UV/Neon face and body paints are considered safe for use on the skin."
